Yunding Grand Hotel Designated as the Official Reception Hotel for the 2022 Winter Olympics

On January 24, the signing ceremony for the first official reception hotels for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games was held at the site of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee. Eight hotels and apartment hotels officially signed the agreement with the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee and therefore became the first official reception hotels for the games in 2022. They include: Genting Grand Hotel, two supporting apartments of the Media Village (1. South District; and 2. North District, both under construction), two supporting hotels of the Media Village (1, South District - Media Hotel; and 2. South District - Mountain Hotel, both under construction), Genting Group Prince Ski Town Apartment (under construction), Prince Ski Town (Youth Hotel, under construction), and Genting Grand Hotel Apartment. This is another Olympic milestones after Genting Ski Park became a sponsor of the 2022 Winter Olympics on August 26, 2014, Genting Ski Park became the event’s freestyle skiing and snowboarding competition venue on July 31, 2015, and the park was listed as one of the three demonstration venues of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee in 2018.

During the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Yunding Grand Hotel will be named “Olympic Family Hotel” by IOC and receive officials from the Olympics Organizing Committee and countries around the world. Genting Secret Garden will accommodate the core competition venue and non-competition venue for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games held in Zhangjiakou Division. The resort is now building the Mountain Media Center and the Mountain Broadcasting Center, each of which comprises 220 mountain hotel rooms, 190 media hotel rooms, 539 general apartments and 406 hotel apartments. Genting Prince Ski Town includes 1,539 ski apartments, 444 hotel rooms and the associating events center.
