July 31, 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the successful Olympic bid. Time flies fast, and over the decade, Yunding has transformed from a proposer of this grand dream, to a service provider fulfilling its mission as a sponsor of the Olympic Bid Committee, and finally to a contributor to the home venue of the Winter Olympics. During the ten-year construction process, Yunding Snow Park has witnessed the development and growth of winter sports in China. It is not only a major milestone in the history of Chinese winter sports, but also a crucial cornerstone for their future development—it has not only earned international recognition for Chinese winter sports, but also provided solid support for their advancement ahead.

Today, Yunding Snow Park has become more than just a ski resort; it has evolved into a comprehensive ski tourism destination with rich cultural connotations, attracting a growing number of tourists to experience skiing and feel the charm of ice and snow sports.

Part 01: Frequent Hosting of High-Level Events

The snowmaking and operation teams of Yunding Snow Park have established stable cooperation with experts from the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) and actively host high-level competitions. For instance, the 2024-2025 FIS Snowboard and Freeski Halfpipe World Cup was held here, where renowned athletes such as Eileen Gu and Cai Xuetong made appearances, drawing many ski and snow sports enthusiasts to watch the events.

Part 02: High-Quality Venue Facilities

As the only snow competition venue of the Beijing Winter Olympics renovated from an existing ski resort, Yunding Snow Park has built 45 ski trails with a total length of 31 kilometers and a total skiing area of 1,040,000 square meters. It meets the requirements for hosting various high-level skiing competitions and also provides a high-quality skiing venue for ski enthusiasts.

Part 03: Rich Tourism Experience

The supporting facilities of Yunding Snow Park, including accommodation, catering, leisure and shopping, have been upgraded to build a world-class ski tourism destination. Meanwhile, the park has reduced the difficulty of some trails through secondary shaping, allowing ski enthusiasts to experience the same "champion trails" as top athletes. It has also opened night skiing in two new areas, with a continuous skiing distance of 10 kilometers and an average daily visitor count of over 7,000.

On February 4, 2024, the second anniversary of the opening of the Beijing Winter Olympics, Management Practice Manual for Yunding Snow Park of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics was released. As the first practical guide on Winter Olympics operation and management, it serves as a valuable reference manual for future large-scale winter sports events, demonstrating the mature operation and management model of Yunding Snow Park.
