Skiing Progression

Upon reaching the corresponding skill level, participants may further choose between the Race Level and Advanced Level development tracks to pursue specialized training in alpine skiing or freestyle skiing!

Ski Proficiency Assessment

Drawing strengths from both the public skiing rating system and Canada’s ski teaching system, Yunding Nature Camp’s youth skiing system has developed a 3‑stage, 9‑level basic skiing teaching system as well as specialized progression systems:

❄️Snowboard Levels 1‑4 and Ski Levels 1‑5 belong to the beginner foundational teaching phase.

This phase lays the groundwork for skiing learning, focusing on fostering interest, good skiing habits and standard skiing movements.

❄️Snowboard Levels 5‑6 and Ski Levels 6‑7 correspond to the intermediate improvement phase.

Upon entering this phase, participants may opt for specialized progression tracks, with two learning orientations available:

(1) Alpine skiing (race‑oriented): e.g., alpine snowboard/ski gate training;

(2) Freestyle skiing (technique‑oriented): e.g., slopestyle, big air and half‑pipe.

❄️Snowboard Levels 7‑9 and Ski Levels 8‑9 represent the advanced progression phase.

This phase focuses on comprehensive learning of advanced skiing techniques, helping participants become all‑round skiing experts. Those interested may also switch over to professional competitive training tracks.

02.Professional Instructor Guarantee

Coaches from Yunding International Ski School hold not only domestic professional ski instructor qualifications, but also vocational certification for ski instructors issued by Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Austria, Switzerland and other countries. Every year, examiner‑level trainers from Canada’s CASI / CSIA are invited to conduct training and assessments for the coaches. Furthermore, to ensure coaches keep up‑to‑date with advanced skiing techniques, the ski school arranges for them to study Japanese park‑skiing programmes and European skiing systems. Coaches absorb a wide range of advanced skiing skills and integrate them into teaching, so as to improve participants’ skiing proficiency with more scientific approaches.
