Genting Secret Garden Hosts World Snow Day and International Children's Ski Festival

On January 20, Genting Secret Garden received around 200 children from all over the country to celebrate World Snow Day and International Children's Ski Festival 2019. For the purposes of “experience, happiness and exploration”, Genting held rich events on World Snow Day to spark children's interest in ice and snow sports, support the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and promote the “involvement of 300 million people in ice and snow sports.”

Genting Secret Garden COO Mr. Benno Nager delivered a welcome speech at the opening ceremony.

As an important part of the national ice and snow season for the mass, World Snow Day activities constitute the best platform for promoting snow and ice sports, developing the ice and snow culture, and carrying forward children’s dreams about the Winter Olympics. They attracted and helped promote the participation of many young skiers and their families in ice and snow sports.

Children were orderly checking in and receiving the ski handbook, hat, and bib for World Snow Day.

Following the professional advice of onsite staff, the children were receiving their own ski shoes, snowboards and other equipment.

Coaches were motivated and ready to teach children the basic moves and key rules of skiing.

After the coaches' training and guidance, the children practiced how to speed up, take turns and make a quick stop on the ski track. After mastering the core knowledge of skiing, they were each granted the Honorary Certificate for 5th National Mass Sports in Ice and Snow Season.

Genting Secret Garden has hosted four rounds of World Snow Day themed events in a view to helping more children become interested in snow and ice sports, experience the charm of outdoor sports in winter and understand the Olympic spirit.
